
Nepal’s two leading digital wallet companies, IME Digital Solutions Limited (IME Pay) and Khalti Private Limited (Khalti), have officially completed their merger process, forming a new unified entity named IME Khalti Limited.
Following approvals from Nepal Rastra Bank on Ashad 4 and the Office of the Registrar of Companies on Ashad 12, the two companies are set to commence integrated financial transactions from August 1.
In a joint announcement on Monday, the companies confirmed that IME Digital Solutions Limited has taken over all assets and liabilities of Khalti Private Limited, completing the legal and operational unification.
The new company’s central office will be located in Panipokhari, Ward No. 3, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
This merger marks a significant milestone in Nepal’s digital financial ecosystem, aimed at enhancing service efficiency, expanding reach, and offering improved digital payment solutions to millions of users across the country.
